The Fund Development Coordinator will play a major role in supporting ICNA Relief Canada’s fundraising efforts. This role is responsible for identifying potential funding sources, building relationships with donors and sponsors, and coordinating events and fundraising campaigns in the Quebec, Ottawa and Kingston regions. The role requires strategic planning skills and effective communication abilities and is essential in securing financial support to further cultivate the organization's goals.
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, Mosques, individual donors, and fundraising events in designated areas.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, funding organizations and Mosques in Quebec, Ottawa and Kingston regions.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, including donor outreach, fundraising at Mosques, logistics, and promotional activities.
- Prepare grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and other funding requests in accordance with donor requirements and guidelines.
- Track and report on fundraising activities, including donor contributions, event attendance, and campaign outcomes.
- Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet the organization’s revenue targets and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in our database, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Process donations and send out timely acknowledgments and tax receipts.
- Provide support to the executive team and board of directors in donor management and cultivation efforts.
- Collaborate with team members across the organization to ensure a cohesive and positive experience for our donors and supporters.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fundraising, event planning, donor relations, or related roles within the sector.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and digital communication tools for efficient fundraising management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for the mission and values of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, with 70% of the work conducted out of the office and 30% in the office.

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Nepean, ON K2E 7J5
