We are seeking a highly organized and versatile Meeting and Events Manager to join our team at Hyatt Place Ottawa West. As the go-to person for creating exceptional experiences for our clients, you will be responsible for creating memorable events that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to incoming catering and event opportunities to ensure timely execution.
  • Conduct hotel site tours, develop creative client presentations, and tailor catering solutions to meet clients' needs.
  • Prepare all event documentation and contracts, coordinating with sales, operations, and clients to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the event phases.
  • Attend client receptions, events, and trade shows to showcase the hotel and recognize opportunities for upselling and maximizing revenue.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a hospitality or event management program or similar background experience.
  • Master of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in sales or events coordination, catering management, or front office operations is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate in both English and French (French not required, but a definite bonus).
