**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Role and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including gastroenterologists, nurses, psychologists, and researchers, to facilitate research opportunities, formulate data-driven hypotheses, and design studies related to IBD by using data analytics tools.
- Lead the end-to-end process of data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and interpretation to extract actionable insights from complex and heterogeneous healthcare data.
- Develop tools using advanced cloud-based machine learning and AI tools to support clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
- Drive data-driven quality improvement initiatives by identifying patterns, trends, and areas for optimization in patient care and operational processes.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to clinical and non-technical audiences through presentations, reports, and visualizations.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications, conferences, and other relevant forums.
- Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.

**Qualifications**
- Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, along with experience using relevant libraries and tools for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with healthcare data sources, including electronic health records, medical documents, and patient-generated data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex and unstructured datasets.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data governance, privacy regulations (such as HIPAA), and ethical considerations in healthcare data analysis is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and lead projects to successful completion.

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience with AWS technologies, interoperability standards, managing projects involving APIs development and systems integration
- Experience in healthcare is desirable
- Ability to problem solve and seek out solutions.
- Advanced analytical capabilities
