**Position Scope**

The Admissions Advisor plays an important role in the success of VFS. The goal of our Admissions Advisor’s is to match prospective students with a program that will help them achieve their dream in the creative arts and entertainment industry. This position also addresses student and stakeholder questions and concerns with a goal of fulfilling the institution’s term-by-term enrolment requirements. The incumbent must be able to discuss VFS programs knowledgeably and fluently and advise clients on how these programs will benefit them personally. The incumbent will have knowledge or shared experience in marketing and sales and is highly organized, energetic and a positive self-starter who thrives in an evolving and fast paced environment.

**Team Dynamics**

The Admissions team is a collective of four different groups: Admissions Advisors, Admissions Coordinators, High School Outreach, and Student Finance. These groups work closely to ensure student satisfaction and success.

**Main Objective**

Maximize the quantity and quality of students that enroll from all inquires received. Manage the collection of all material(s) needed for acceptance and ensure the file to be handed in for acceptance has all of the criteria fully met and documented. The overarching goal of ensuring VFS fills every class to its maximum potential.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Identify and qualify potential full-time students by ensuring that all appointments and contacts are handled promptly and thoroughly in a professional manner.
- Meet or exceed specified enrolment goals.
- Use their expertise to determine and overcome potential challenges that may keep someone from attending such as: International relocation barriers (ie. Student Visa); Housing solutions; Financial assistance/student Loans; ESL assistance
- Work with potential students to secure all required materials needed for acceptance including: transcripts, financial planning, specific program requirement, and necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accurate notes of all communications/conversations in the appropriate VFS database(s) and CRM.
- Participate in Orientation Days for all new incoming full-time students.
- Represent VFS at industry functions and marketing/student recruitment events when appropriate.
- Identify and problem-solve any prospective student services barriers.
- Work effectively with Department Heads, Directors, and Administrative Managers
- Work on special projects asked by Directors of Admissions.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
