**Human Resources Assistant**

**Summary**:
The Southern First Nations Network of Care (SFNNC) is seeking a highly-motivated Human Resources (HR) Assistant. As the HR Assistant your responsibility will be to support the HR Manager in various aspects of HR Administration including being the first point of contact for HR related inquires and focus on the overall recruitment and onboarding process of new hires, payroll, and benefits administration, and supporting positive employee relations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides administrative support in all HR areas as needed and assigned.
- Supports all internal and external HR related inquires or requests.
- Maintains employee confidence by keeping HR information confidential.
- Assists with the full recruitment cycle for all employees; onboarding of new hires, including completion of onboarding paperwork, maintaining onboarding materials, conducting new employee orientations, and assisting with off boarding and collection of property.
- Confirms accuracy and integrity of HR paperwork and follows up accordingly.
- Drafts letters, contracts and memos for all new hires, promotions, and transitions for departments.
- Creates, edits, and posts high volume of job descriptions/advertisements.
- Maintains employee files, ensuring they are continually complete and audit ready.
- Accurate data entry of employee information.
- Organizing, updating, and maintaining internal HR documents.
- Conducts various research to assist with new and on-going projects.
- Supports the payroll and benefits process for all employees.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education & Experience**:

- Post-secondary Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources or Office/Business Administration.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
- 1-2 years of direct work experience in recruitment.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources best practices and principles.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Resilient, flexible and ability to adapt to changing priorities/situations with ease and composure.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to identify problems and implement solutions.
- Enjoys challenges and copes well with change.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Effective and professional communication skills, both oral and written.

- A valid Class 5 MB Driver’s License must have access to a reliable vehicle for business travel.
