**About us**

**Purpose /Job Role**:
The DPF Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. As an HR Generalist, you will oversee the human resources responsibilities and activities of The DPF Co. Coordinate recruitment processes, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and training and development.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources and labour relations strategies including policies, programs and procedures to address an organization's human resource requirements and promote positive employee relations.
- Advise the employer and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation, and benefit programs.
- Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems.
- Help plan and administer staffing, total compensation, training and career development, employee assistance, employment equity and affirmative action programs.
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal programs.
- Research employee benefit and health and safety practices and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies.
- Compile reports on results for the HR department.
- Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters.
- Provide training and support to other team members of the human resources department.
- Be well-versed in laws and regulations regarding hiring and firing. Adhere to laws, rules and regulations.
- Participate in other activities of HR Department as required.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a degree in a related discipline (Business administration, Law, Psychology).
- Experience in a similar position of at least 3 years.
- Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures.
- Significant knowledge of the hiring process.
- A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to process large volumes of information.
- Knowledge about conflict management.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in software like MS Office and G-suite.
- Good time-management skills
- Understanding and familiarity with HR Marketing

Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding and experience with HR tools such as ATS and HRIS
- Some understanding of basic marketing strategies
- Ability to conduct various types of interviews (in person, online, phone)
- Ability to work independently and with a team
