**Role and responsibilities**

The GO Expansion program is the largest transit infrastructure program in Canadian history. The GO Expansion Program will transform rail services in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), providing two-way all-day GO train service and improved passenger experience with quieter and faster electric locomotives. The GO Expansion program includes Early Works, Off-Corridor station, and infrastructure upgrades, as well as an On-Readiness program to deliver new tracks, platforms, facilities, grade separations, and electrification.

The MCS team is partnering with Metrolinx to deliver the GO Expansion program. MCS’ mission is to transform Ontario’s GO Rail Network into a Rapid Rail System through the delivery of the GO Expansion Program and to provide exemplary support to Metrolinx. The MCS Program Delivery Partner (Delivery Partner) team will achieve this by facilitating Metrolinx’s creation of an outstanding organizational capability for program management and, simultaneously bring our global and local expertise to the direction and successful delivery of the GO Expansion program.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Readiness Project Manager, the Readiness Coordinator will support the creation, tracking and evidence-based close-out of the Project Readiness Checklists. In addition, they will support as needed with developing and delivering specifics of Readiness Improvement Plan and Strategic Readiness Workstreams described in the GO Expansion Program Annual Work Plan:
The Readiness workstreams are:

- Commissioning Lookahead schedule
- Readiness checklist
- In-flight Project Readiness Support
- Readiness Roles and Responsibilities
- Readiness Dashboard Tool
- Readiness Visualization
- Metrolinx Capability
- Communication and Engagement

The Readiness Coordinator will work closely with the Readiness Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and Planner on GO Expansion to ensure the best outcomes for the coordinated team.

The Readiness Coordinator will take direction from the PM and APM on specific items within the Readiness Workstream Program, and projects and scope under their control, and as designated by the Readiness Lead and:

- Provide data analytics and administrative support and coordination to the Project Manager, ensuring smooth execution of project activities.
- Assist in the Development and Implementation phases of the Readiness Workstreams, collaborating with Managers and project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Support the implementation of Readiness Workstreams, processes, and reporting, providing regular project status updates to the Lead.
- Proactively address conflicts to facilitate timely resolution, track issues, and contribute to the investigation of potential project disruptions, implementing corrective measures as necessary

**Technical Competencies**
- This role will be heavily into data analytics and so requires experience and qualifications with regard to analysis and reporting software, data processes and tracking of work items.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools is essential (MS Project).
