Inside the Role

As the Marketing and Communications Intern, you will be support the Marketing & Communications Analyst & POS, Marketing & Communications Manager in carrying out the overall department strategy. You will assist in preparing internal and external communications, development of marketing materials and event organization.

What You Drive at DTFS
- Support the development and execution of dealer communications. Providing accurate and concise updates to our dealer body on a timely basis. Coordinate the translation of all dealer communications into French for our Quebec dealer partners
- Support the development and execution of internal communications, as required. Keeping our employees informed on important issues. Assisting department managers and the LT with communication requests and to source and deliver relevant and engaging content to internal employees and our dealer partners
- Support our Sales & Marketing department with the set up & logistics surrounding conferences & sales related events to ensure excellent experiences for our dealer partners, DTNA, our DFM’s & our Sales & Marketing Management teams. Support all aspects of event planning and management, including pre-planning, sourcing venues, on-site coordination and post-event follow-up. Events include but are not limited to; F&I Conferences, Regional Meetings, Sales Meetings and DTNA meetings
- General maintenance of the sales and marketing tools, testing and collaboration with users. Create copy for the website and develop and implement digital marketing content with an emphasis on increasing the website visibility to our dealer partners and customers
- Ongoing purchase and maintenance of promotional items used for dealers, staff, contests and branding. Work with a number of vendors to coordinate the ordering, tracking and shipping of promotional items to various entities within the organization

Knowledge You Should Bring
- Pursuing undergraduate degree or post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French is required
- Demonstrates ability to plan, develop and execute on multiple initiatives in a timely manner
- Confident and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Event planning experience would be an asset
- Proficient in using MS Office programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, OneNote & Outlook)
- Interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment required
- 3.0 GPA or higher strongly preferred
- Previous experience in the financial services industry will be an asset
