Position SummaryAre you passionate about marketing and looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and versatile environment? Our marketing department is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Student to join our team.The Marketing Student will support the marketing department in various tasks and projects across multiple areas, including public relations, marketing, digital marketing, and internal and external communication. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic marketing environment.Key Responsibilities:Monitor media coverage and trends related to the company.Compile monthly media monitoring reports summarizing key findings and insights.Distribute social media posts across various platforms to maximize reach and engagement.Craft and distribute internal messages and announcements via multiple internal channels.Support public relations efforts, including drafting press releases and media pitches.Contribute to building relationships with media representatives to enhance press coverage.Generate creative ideas for social media posts, blog posts, newsletters, and other content initiatives.Create engaging content for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email newsletters.Assist with new product launch initiatives, including Canadianizing all relevant images and supporting documents.Assist with internal and external events, as needed, to ensure their success.Requirements and skillsCurrently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Business Administration)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms such as Canva, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Illustrator, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Trends, and Buffer.Accessibility and Diversity StatementSharp Electronics of Canada Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
