Inside the Role

The Marketing Intern directly supports the Marketing & Communications Specialist, as well as the Marketing & Communications Manager, in carrying out the overall department strategy. The main responsibilities are to assist in preparing internal and external communications, development of marketing material and event organization. The role is critical in creating unique experiences for our dealers, driving dealer satisfaction and managing our brand image.

- This is an 8 - 12 month internship starting in the fall of 2024._

What You Drive at DTFS
- Dealer Communications - Support the development and execution of dealer communications. Providing accurate and concise updates to our dealer body on a timely basis. Coordinate the translation of all dealer communications into French for our Quebec dealer partners.
- Event Planning - Support our Sales & Marketing department with the setup & logistics surrounding conferences & sales related events to ensure excellent experiences for our dealer partners, brand partner, and our sales team. Support all aspects of event planning and management, including pre-planning, sourcing venues, on-site coordination and post-event follow-up. Events include but are not limited to; F&I Conferences, Regional Meetings, Sales Meetings and DTNA meetings.
- Marketing & Promotional Material - Ongoing purchase and maintenance of promotional items used for dealers, staff, contests, and branding. Work with several vendors to coordinate the ordering, tracking, and shipping of promotional items to various entities within the organization.
- Social Media - Creating and curating engaging content, monitoring and responding to comments and messages, and analyzing engagement metrics to inform future strategy. You will work closely with the team to ensure that our presence aligns with our overall marketing goals and effectively promotes our brand to our target audience.

Knowledge You Should Bring
- Undergraduate degree or graduate level studies in progress
- ideally with a focus in business, marketing and/or communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English (required) & French (preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office (intermediate level) i.e. Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- Demonstrates ability to plan, develop and execute on multiple initiatives in a timely manner.
- Confident and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- 3.0 GPA or higher strongly preferred
- Previous experience in the financial services industry will be an asset
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is an asset (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
- Event planning experience would be an asset

Schedule Type:
