Payroll and Benefits Supervisor - Job Reference #202306-03

**DESCRIPTION**:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Payroll and Benefits Supervisor is responsible for:

- Accurately overseeing all payroll and benefits information for King’s in conjunction with the Payroll and Benefits Coordinators.
- All reconciliations related to payroll and benefit accounts as well as year-end audit reports.
- Supervising the day-to-day operational duties of the Payroll and Benefits team.
- Being highly knowledgeable on all benefit plans, and acts as main liaison between employees, HR and benefits providers.
- Collecting required documentation for processing of pensions for faculty members upon retirement.
- Providing termination information to retiring or terminating employees, forwarding accurate information to actuaries.
- Organizing and presenting annual information sessions for employees in regards to RRSP and Pension Plan.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- More than 5 years of prior work experience within a Payroll Department.
- Recognized accounting designation (CPA), Payroll Compliance or Certified Payroll Manager Certification preferred
- Advanced organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals during high stress situations with a professional and empathetic approach to problem solving.
- Strict attention to detail; solid judgment and strong analytical skills;
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team;
- Well-developed problem-solving skills; Strict commitment to quality service
- Experience managing a team

**TYPE OF JOB**:
Full Time (35 hours per week). This position must work from campus.

**EFFECTIVE DATE**:
As soon as possible.

**SALARY RANGE**:
PSG 14 $71,383 to $89,382 per annum, dependent on experience.
