**Position Description**:
The Program Manager, Knowledge Mobilization and Patient Engagement will facilitate the development and implementation of the CHILD Cohort Study¿s knowledge mobilization and patient engagement activities. The program manager will be responsible for supporting researchers, staff, and partners across the CHILD network with respect to best practice in patient engagement and knowledge mobilization activities, including the development of funding programs to support them. This is a fixed term, position for 2 years, with the possibility of extension.

The CHILD Cohort Study is a national birth cohort study involving over 3,300 Canadian infants and their families. The Study explores how genetics and early childhood environmental exposures impact the development of asthma, allergies, and other chronic childhood diseases. The Study has clinical sites in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Toronto, with the National Coordinating Centre (NCC) located at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

**Here Is What You Will Do**:

- Drive knowledge mobilization (KMb) and patient engagement (PE) across CHILD with guidance from the KMb lead and PE lead by providing innovative evidence-based processes for ensuring meaningful engagement and knowledge dissemination.
- Participate in projects that focus on improving the quality of care delivered to patients and families through impactful engagement and co-design.
- Develop and manage annual workplan with specific goals, deliverables, and outputs.
- Provide expertise and advice to researchers, staff, and partners across the CHILD network with respect to best practice in KMb and PE and the development of funding programs to support PE and KMb activities.
- Co-develop and modify existing PE and KMb resources and materials including training, templates, modules, and other resources.
- Support day-to-day PE and KMb activities including arranging meetings, implementing resulting actions.
- Promote and support KMb and PE across CHILD stakeholders.
- Provide education to staff about the role of advisors and assist in identifying opportunities for patient and family engagement.
- Deliver presentations internally as well as externally.
- Collaborate with site staff, community leaders, and CHILD staff to:

- o develop tools to support engagement in research,- o establish and coordinate governance structures and processes,- o deliver communications, and- o prepare key performance indicators and reports for leadership.**Here Is What You Will Need**:

- A Master¿s degree in a health-related discipline
- Several years of professional experience related to PE, KMb, communications, program coordination and/or program evaluation.
- Solid understanding of PE and KMb theory and/or practice.
- Ability to communicate with, build rapport and relationships, and meaningfully engage with knowledge users and CHILD community members.
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with an ability to schedule and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to develop agendas, background materials, and minutes for meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Outstanding collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Strong computer skills including Zoom, Teams, MS Word, Excel, and Powe
