The Alo Food Group is hiring a Chef de Cuisine for Alobar Downtown. The Chef de Cuisine (CDC) will provide leadership and oversee the entire kitchen operation including menu development in collaboration with the Corporate Chef and Alo Food Group's management team. The CDC directly manages all kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, performance reviews, initiating pay increases and any respective disciplinary actions. They will be responsible for managing their team and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities while working in partnership with the General Manager.
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
5+ years of previous experience in a high volume restaurant in a management position. Proficient leadership skills in managing staff, cultivating a positive and safe work environment, while offering mentorship to the team. Previous experience and understanding of optimal food, labor, and operational costs is required.
**CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee monthly inventories of food. Control food waste and set appropriate par levels for production and daily inventory.
- Select and develop recipes. Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards.
- Plan and price menus in collaboration with the General Manager and Alo Food Group Management team.
- Prepare and submit daily payroll and bi-weekly payroll.
- Conduct a pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day’s business.
- Ensure all employees are fully trained in their job functions and in menu training.
- Expedite and support line staff as business demands.
- Ability to understand guests’ service needs & requests.
Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
