Why BCAA?

Feel proud of what you do and help shape the future of BC at a BC Top Employer. We’re driven by purpose - delivering peace of mind to one in three BC households with insurance, roadside assistance, auto repair, Evo Car Share and Evolve E-Bike Share. - Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 Remote / 2 On Site). Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered._

As the Program Coordinator, Strategic Ventures at BCAA, you will support the rapid growth of Evolve, BCAA’s innovative E-Bike and E-Scooter share program, and other initiatives within the Strategic Ventures team. This role functions as a Program Coordinator, focusing on a portfolio of strategic ventures and reporting directly to the Business Manager, rather than a Project Manager. This structure ensures that you contribute to broader program goals and long-term success while supporting day-to-day project execution.

You will maintain project plans, coordinate stakeholder communications, and provide essential administrative support that ensures the team’s objectives are met on time. This is an ideal role for someone interested in expanding their skills in project coordination within a startup-style environment, contributing to high-impact projects across the business.

Who you are:
- You have strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.- You are a proactive communicator who excels at keeping stakeholders informed and updated.- You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working well with both internal and external partners.- You are detail-oriented, capable of managing project tasks with precision while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic setting.- You have an interest in micromobility and a keen curiosity for learning about project and business management in an entrepreneurial context.

What you’ll do:
- Facilitate the execution of multiple projects by developing and maintaining project management tools, including task boards, timelines, and risk registers.- Coordinate project meetings, manage scheduling, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.- Monitor project-related risks and maintain action and decision logs to keep projects aligned with business objectives.-
- Provide administrative support by preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards for both internal and external meetings.- Handle day-to-day operations such as vendor setup, contract circulation, and form submissions, ensuring smooth operations across project needs.- Support budget and financial activities, including invoice reconciliation and budgeting summaries, contributing to year-round financial tracking.- Assist in planning and executing strategic workshops, facilitating collaboration across departments.

What you bring:
- Certificate in Project Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- At least 2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or executive assistance.- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.- Ability to travel locally as required, with a valid BC Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract.- Bonus Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a startup environment or in supporting micromobility initiatives (e.g., bike or scooter programs). Internal Applicants: Please note that the internal posting closes on December 13, 2024, and the role is a Grade 8 position.

The salary range for this position is $54,957.00 to $68,696.16 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.

What we offer:
- The chance to make a difference every day in the lives of British Columbians, BCAA Members and our communities.- Career and personal development to help you grow and reach your goals.- Incentives that recognize team and individual sales and performance.- Flexible benefits to support your health and lifestyle, and wellness dollars* to keep your body, mind and soul thriving.
