**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Technical Writer II is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Documentation team, developers, product architects, and product owners to write and revise technical documentation and prepare it for publication with a high focus on clarity, accuracy, and usability
- Learn quickly and deeply about a highly technical product and translate that knowledge into documentation that is clear and easy to understand
- Proofread technical documentation produced by junior technical writers
- Dissect and critique technical documentation to contribute to its improvement
- Understand and be responsive to the needs of our users and help publish and maintain our online user documentation
- Contribute to the company style guide
- Collaborate with the Documentation Team and other stakeholders to develop new initiatives and strategies for documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- 3-7 years of experience in technical writing or a related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, English, Computer Science, or related fields
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
- Proficiency in written and verbal English language to succeed in a remote work environment
- Flexibility to adjust to work routines/schedules, as required, to meet the needs of the company and expectations of customers
- Experience in the gaming industry preferred
- Familiarity with Markdown, HTML CSS, JavaScript, and static sites preferred
- Ability to read code in languages such as Go or C++ preferred
- Experience in using web-based content creation tools preferred
- Familiarity with writing documentation for coding (C++, C#, Java, Python, etc) preferred
- Familiarity with writing documentation for developers preferred
- Familiarity with content management systems for publishing documentation preferred
- Experience working in a multinational technology startup is a big plus
