Extend-A-Family Kingston is looking for individuals who are energetic, positive role models who have a genuine compassionate and caring nature for the position of:
**Program Counsellor**
Part-time casual, $18.00 plus per hour
Under the direction of the Manager of Community Services, the Program Counsellor is responsible for assisting with implementing and delivering exciting, active programs for children and adults with or without developmental disabilities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Become familiar with participant profiles, paying particular attention to vulnerabilities.
- Provide constant care and supervision to assigned participants, always paying close attention to their health and safety.
- Encourage individual(s) to participate in the activities one-on-one and within the larger group.
- Program delivery in a variety of areas, including crafts, music, swimming, and recreational activities.
- Support virtual sessions, research, and IT support on Zoom.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Police Record Check - CPIC including Vulnerable Sector.
**Assets**:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Standard First Aid, CPR
- Sign language (ASL)
- CPI training
- G-tube feedings
- Bilingual - French and English
