**Credit Analyst**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze new and existing accounts to assess credit risk; approve and set limits & payment terms in accordance with credit policy and authorization level
- Manage orders: release orders in accordance with company guidelines
- Perform account reconciliations - responsible for minimizing overdue accounts receivable through resolution of discrepancies and disputes
- Communicate customers’ status to management and Sales teams
- Provide reports as required
- Performs other ad hoc duties as required and assigned by management

**Applicant Requirements**:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree/certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience working in credit and/or accounts receivable departments
- One (1) or more years of experience holding credit/AR positions within manufacturing/industrial environments (applicants who offer experience **solely** from financial institutions would not be suitable for this role)
- Ability to make sound credit recommendations regarding customer risk in a fast-paced environment
- Strong background of experience executing collection activities, and ability to remain calm and maintain professionalism during these activities if interactions relating to collection should become hostile
- Ability to make sound judgement calls to decide when interactions require the inclusion of an escalation point of contact
- Must possess strong analytical skills - intuitive problem solving skills are a must
- Must possess strong working experience with Microsoft Office Suite, most specifically with Excel **(intermediate-expert level Excel skills are a requirement)**:

- Ability to interact with internal teams and external clients in a courteous and professional manner at all times
