**About Us**:
The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres. The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students). The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing educates nurses who are reflective practitioners and provides recognized leadership in nursing research, theory, practice, and policy advancements.

As the Director of several nationally funded Tri-Council grants, Dr. Fiona Webster leads a large, externally funded research program in the area of chronic pain and social and health inequity. The Partnership for the Engagement of People in Pain Research (PEPR): Advancing EDI and building capacity for critical social science approaches to pain scholarship project is a SSHRC funded project grant

**Responsibilities**:
The Research Hub Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the management, co-design and co-development of a national "Engagement Hub" for people with lived experience of pain (PWLP) and other intersecting experiences of inequity. The Hub will be informed by community consultations with a variety of equity-seeking groups and will eventually be a virtual gathering place for community building and collective action. The Research Hub Coordinator will work collaboratively with members of the Partnership for the Engagement of People in Pain Research (PEPR) Leadership Team and partners to help support the conduct of the consultations, integrate the findings into the Hub design and processes, and support Hub members to advance shared goals. This position reports directly to Fiona Webster (UWO) or the PEPR Research Manager.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Master's degree in a Health, Social Science or other related discipline
- Master's degree in a Health, Social Science or other related discipline, with a focus on health equity, health services research, chronic pain, or closely related areas is preferred

**Experience**:

- 3 years’ experience conducting research in the area(s) of health equity, health services research, chronic pain, or closely related areas
- Experience managing research data and projects in a complex academic environment
- Experience with various research methodologies, data collection techniques, and ethical considerations
- Experience writing reports, proposals, and academic papers

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- In-depth knowledge of techniques for planning, managing, and coordinating research projects with competing priorities that involve a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated skills in engaging people with lived experience as essential partners in research, health/social service system design and delivery and policy advocacy
- A clear understanding of the connection between engagement, cultural safety, improved decision making and health outcomes
- Experience in anti-oppression, decolonization, anti-racist and other rights-based frameworks for action
- Ability to collaborate across internal and external boundaries to meet common objectives, improve outcomes and support work beyond one's own unit
- Communication skills with the ability to converse with, complete detailed analytics and reports for, and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization
- Ability to ensure confidentiality and privacy is maintained through the appropriate retention and destruction of information
- Attention to detail with an ability to retrieve, analyze and synthesize data and information, while ensuring that it is accurate and comprehensive
- A desire to grow and advance skills, which is demonstrated by attending conferences and other professional development opportunities
- Ability to ensure expenditures and resources are within allotments, and to make appropriate modifications when required
- Computer skills with the ability to learn and use relevant software that achieves required outcomes and is in line with best practices
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
