Courier Fleet Coordinator

MC Dispatch we are a Same Day Courier Company for 46 Years. We are growing and expanding.

This position will be a scheduled to work afternoons, evenings and weekends. Typical shift will start at 1:00 PM. Shifts will be weekdays and weekends.

You must be professional, organized, a team player and have strong knowledge of Edmonton, downtown, and the surrounding areas. Along with this you must be able to multi-task. This is a very fast-paced position and attention to detail is required.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Schedule courier drivers to move freight daily. This would require each evening reaching out to each driver and advise the time they are to report to work
- Have strong skills of analyzing data and monitoring drivers progress in their daily deliveries
- Ensuring all product is delivered safely and in a timely manner
- Monitor and report any issues pertaining each delivery along with reassigning deliveries, updating delivery addresses in routing app etc
- Review and monitor each drivers Routes, track efficiencies per driver
- Submit a daily report to Management pertaining to shift
- Be willing to go out and do deliveries when necessary. However, is very rare for this to occur.
- Communicating clearly so that all parties involved know what is informed
- Keeping calm in the face of surprise situations in order to rectify them quickly and efficiently
- Thinking ahead to anticipate potential problems, such as allowing extra delivery time during stormy weather, having back up drivers in case of courier breakdowns etc.
- Managing time wisely both to be an effective employee and to spot ways in which transportation routes and procedures could be improved
- Displaying a commitment to teamwork since the job entails contact with a variety of people
- Experience in customer relations would be ideal, preferably in a call centre setting

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- EDMONTON, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (required)
