**THE ROLE**

The bar slicer position is dedicated to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. It's a hybrid FOH/BOH role as you are active on a station in the middle of the restaurant, next to the bar.

We are looking for a dynamic individual that enjoys making connections with guests, is a fast learner, and is interested in learning about high quality, Italian ingredients.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**SERVICE AND GREETING**:

- Warmly welcome guests and engage with them through conversation and food coming from the slice station.
- Quickly establish rapport with all guests (especially when sitting at the bar) and anticipate their needs and use this information to create experiences.
- Monitor guests' experience throughout their visit, providing assistance as needed, such as refilling water and wine.
- Constantly anticipates the Guest’s needs and communicates information to servers and management.

**SLICE STATION**:

- Communicates daily with the Head Chef/Culinary Director on any menu changes for the given day and how they are to be prepped, cooked and plated for the Guest.
- Communicates with the AM prep team on the progress of the prep list for their respective station
- Is responsible for the quality of all mise-en-place on their station.
- Adheres to the Daily Task List for their given station.
- Is efficient in the prep of their station and performs their daily tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Stays on task and works to the best use of their time.
- Maintains a high level of organization and cleanliness on their station.
- Is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment on their station and brings all issues with the equipment to the attention of the Sous Chef, Head Chef or Executive Chef
- Maintains mise-en-place par levels and is responsible for bringing to the Sous Chef’s attention any ingredients that must be ordered for their station’s menu.
- Adheres to the receiving protocol when product is dropped off in the kitchen.
- Has above average knowledge of all Food and Beverage offerings and keeps up to date with all menu changes.
- Communicates the status of each table to the Host and Management team so that they can properly manage the flow of the Restaurant.
- Assists neighboring servers during service when possible.
- Assists in the running of slice food to the Guest.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Manual

**COMPENSATION**:

- $19-$21 per hour + gratuities
