Precision High Speed 3D Camera Production Technician, Intermediate

- Position Overview
- Lumentum’s Ottawa, Canada location is starting the production of a high speed, high precision 3D camera using state-of-the-art optical technology. You will be part of a nimble and fast-moving production team that will be providing high quality product to many of the world’s top automotive manufacturers.
- Key Responsibilities
- The 3D Camera Production Technician, Intermediate responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:
- Perform equipment setup, equipment adjustments, and preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Run tests on all assemblies and equipment to test for safety and productivity before they are put into production.
- With identified problems, identify potential solutions and attempt to troubleshoot the issue using technical knowledge.
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
- Use sophisticated programs to track and control components through the production process.
- Core Skills
- Motor skills for fine assembly.
- Ability to detect defects in optical, mechanical, and electrical parts.
- Technical knowledge of PCB designs and component technologies.
- Experience with handling and cleaning free space optics and fiber optics.
- Familiarity with cleanroom practices (cleanliness level ISO-5).
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, including mechanical and electrical drawings and optical schematics, and carefully follow instructions/manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization.
- Capability to work independently to a production schedule.
- Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Technical Certification
- Certification IPC-A-610
- Certification IPC-J-STD-001
- Certification IPC-A-620 (optional but beneficial)
- Desired Skills & Qualifications
- At least 3 years work experience
- Knowledgeable about lean manufacturing techniques
