Responsibilities:

- Drive continuous improvement projects by analyzing root causes and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability.
- Complete enhancements for error-proofing and design functions for new and existing equipment.
- Program, commission, and test Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron PLC and HMI programs for manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and develop control standards, templates, and programming libraries.
- Troubleshoot process issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and assist operators in machine operations.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors to improve process efficiency, quality, and reliability.
- Adhere to quality system standards, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in a related field (Mechanical Engineering, skilled trade, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PLC Programmer/Process Technician role in a similar Assembly/Robotic/Welding environment.
- Proficient knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., ABB).
- Understanding of machinery safety and programming safety devices with safety PLC.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge to understand process operations.
- Strong ability to work with hand tools and adjust dies and sensors.
- Excellent grasp of HMI, buttons, and sensor operations.
- Knowledge of machine guarding and safety devices.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and devices.
- Experience with stamping presses is an asset.
- Familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 per year
