The IT Helpdesk Technician is a junior level position that performs the day-to-day operations of the Conservation Authority Information Technology infrastructure including helpdesk response and maintenance, hardware, software, telephone system and computer network work. The IT Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees in person and remotely. Their primary role is to ensure employees’ technology is in top working condition and to anticipate and troubleshoot issues employees may have.

**What you offer**
- Post-secondary education; BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification or equivalent.
- 2 years’ related experience in an IT support role with proven customer service.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite and Windows operating systems.
- Proven experience as a helpdesk technician or other customer support role in a tech environment.
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote support software with high proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Proficiency in English with ability to communicate tech requirements to non-tech people.
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.

**Additional assets**
- Experienced with Microsoft administrative tasks (Windows 10, 365, Intune, Exchange, PowerShell, Defender).
- Familiar with ManageEngine Endpoint Central, ServiceDesk Plus, Veeam, an asset.

**What you will do**
- Provide helpdesk support to employees, to help resolve IT related issues and provide answers or direct employees to solutions in a timely manner.
- Schedule software and hardware solutions convenient to the end user and minimize down-time.
- Support the on-boarding of new employees by planning equipment availability and providing new or spare equipment as needed, in good condition, including sanitizing and cleaning equipment between users.
- Communicate with users to keep them informed about updates to their issues, changes to systems, and request resolution.
- Responsible for ordering toner supplies and maintaining an inventory for all LSRCA printers and report inventory changes to accounting staff.
- Document technology processes, maintain helpdesk tickets, document solutions to contribute to a shareable knowledge base.
- Collaborate with internal and external IT and Network support employees to troubleshoot issues and implement new or updated systems.

**Start Date**: April 1, 2024

**Hours of Work**: 28-hour work week, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Days to be determined. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

**Salary**: $32.56-$40.70 per hour
