**About the Job**

The Azrieli Foundation seeks an experienced, full-time External Communications Specialist to join its Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, the Specialist is a trusted partner, providing information to drive positive engagement and impact. The Specialist will help tell the Foundation’s story by implementing our external communications strategy to further our objectives, mission, vision and values.

The Specialist will create content, execute plans and campaigns, and measure and report on the effectiveness of external communications activities. The Specialist ensures that work aligns with the Foundation’s strategies, goals and business initiatives. The Specialist is a proactive member passionate about compelling storytelling, with a creative vision and knowledge of communications best practices. This role is suited to a self-motivated team player with strong writing abilities who can work in a fast-paced environment.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Participate in the execution of the Foundation’s external communication strategy and ensure our mission, vision, values and news are communicated in a regular, effective and engaging way
- Manage and create content for the external communications channels (i.e., impact reports, blogs, website, newsletters, eblasts) to ensure all communications are engaging, informative and on-brand
- Create, edit, proof and deliver communications and critical messages that ensure stakeholders across all areas are actively informed and engaged
- Identify and curate storytelling opportunities with leaders and staff across the organization
- Help to plan and coordinate various communication events, including meetings and Board events
- Work collaboratively to ensure communications are accurate and connect with specific audiences
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent
- At least five years of communications-related work experience
- Excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills
- Experience in the use of online communications tools, intranets, analytics, content planning and digital communications techniques
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites and the ability to quickly learn new programs
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Well organized with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of accountability and initiative, and demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in speech writing is an asset
- French language proficiency is an asset

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
