BLFC is positioned for leadership in Canada's food and beverage landscape. Our current brand portfolio includes Village Juicery, Dark Horse Espresso, Detour Coffee, Dear Grain Bakery, and Tori’s Bakeshop.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Payroll Processing:

- Handle end-to-end payroll processing, including variable compensation
- Ensure accuracy, audit and timely processing of payroll

Maintain HR monthly, quarterly & year end reports:

- Generate and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc HR reports
- Utilize Human Resource Management System (HUMI) effectively
- Use advance excel to create tools that help better the reports, payroll process

Legal Compliance:

- Manage compliance activities such as WSIB, EHT monthly and annual reporting, T4, and ROE
- Manage year end reconciliation
- EHT, WSIB
- Stay updated on changes in employment legislation

Employee Survey:

- Coordinate and conduct employee surveys to gather valuable feedback
- Analyze survey results and recommend improvements

Employee Performance Management:

- Implement and oversee employee performance management processes
- Assist in the development and execution of performance improvement plans

Hiring & Posting:

- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs

HR Content Management & Trainings:

- Develop, maintain, and publish HR content, including policies, procedures, and training materials
- Facilitate HR onboarding training for new hires
- Ensure a smooth and informative onboarding experience

Team Engagement:

- Implement initiatives to enhance team engagement and morale
- Manage disciplinary proceedings and implement progressive discipline when necessary
- Handle and oversee termination processes

Grants Administration:

- Identify new grants opportunities
- Manage claims processing activities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with small and large hiring and capital grant agencies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on payroll, compliance, and grants administration
- HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) is an asset
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation
- Strong skill set in Microsoft Suit (Excel, Word, powerpoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information
