This position will report to the Vice President, Regulatory.

**Responsibilities**:

- Market fundamentals that influence transmission in Alberta such as, operational characteristics of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System, generation, load, and electricity prices, among others.
- Government policies, market design, regulations, ISO rules, and other signposts influencing market and industry.
- System and financial information related to utilities in Alberta and utilities in other jurisdictions.
- New transmission, generation, and industrial developments in Alberta and other jurisdictions.
- Emerging technologies such as hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, electric vehicles, and energy storage.
- Assist in preparing executive summaries, presentations, reports, and other analysis related to the above.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with preference for a Business or Economics major.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the electricity industry structure and power market in Alberta.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with the use of other data analysis tools would be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and develop strong internal and external relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
