Walker Industries has a thriving, dynamic Human Resources Department requiring an organized, motivated individual to assist with day-to-day maintenance activities and to complete project assignments, while working from our Head Office location at 2800 Thorold Townline Road, Niagara Falls.
The successful applicant will:
- Project work related to ongoing initiatives (e.g. engagement programs, training guide creation, etc.)
- Support continued maintenance of Oracle - our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including auditing data and updating employee information
- Assist with the maintenance of both computerized and manual filing systems;
- Assist with updates of corporate human resources policies;
- Assist with various department needs as required;
- Be enrolled in a Business Administration (Human Resources or Operations) co-op program.
- Have exceptional communication/interpersonal skills.
- Work well independently, take initiative and be able to work as part of a team.
- Have superior organizational and time management skills.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week in office from May to December, 2023;
- Minimal travel between workplaces will be required; as such applicants must have access to own vehicle;
Experience with Excel, Word and Oracle would be a definite asset.
