**What do you offer?**

This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager, and plays an active role in the day-to-day operations and management of the physical plant services at the YMCA facilities which include maintenance, cleaning, custodial and program services.

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the facilities and equipment as well as maintenance and repair of all major equipment and systems, HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and security systems while maintaining good communication with all parties involved, for example; staff management, scheduling, and suppliers. Internally, the holder of the position will enforce security rules, follow up on various requests, negotiate with vendors, contractors and customers and manage any personnel necessary to carry out assigned projects.

The Facilities Supervisor will play a leadership role to their team and will work with other team leads throughout the facility to implement Standards of Service Excellence to ensure a high quality of service delivery to our clients, members and staff.

**_ Work from Monday to Friday, with on-call duties required._**

**Some of the tasks of this position include**:

- Providing supervision and direction to all cleaning and maintenance staff.
- Monitoring contract services to ensure quality standards are met.
- Verifying that equipment, materials and projects conform to applicable standards, procedures, and by-laws.
- Developing, maintaining and controlling expenditures for cleaning, maintenance, and refurbishment.
- Purchasing supplies, placing orders, receiving orders, verifying accuracy of goods received, and distributing supplies.
- Providing after-hour on-call services for premises and equipment emergencies, as needed.
- Ensuring new employees and volunteers receive role and program specific orientation and training.
