**Position Overview**:
We are celebrating our 17th year in business and are seeking to join forces with a qualified professional to join us as Life Insurance Specialist. We seek an energetic professional interested in helping our business grow through needs-based conversations and remarkable customer experience.

The most challenging part of providing Life and Income replacement is to find prospects with which to speak, and the fact that is typically a commission situation with very little to no base salary. These are not challenges we face in our Office as there is a base salary and commission, which encourages needs-based conversations.

In our office, the phone rings all day as our existing clients call to make changes to their Home and Auto Insurance coverage. We are looking for a customer-focused individual who will engage with these inbound calls to make suggestions on Life and Disability coverage. **Responsibilities**:

- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
- Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals, and to build our referral network.

**Requirements**:

- Must have an LLQP license
- Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
- Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
- Proactive in problem-solving
- Dedicated to customer service
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to make presentations to potential customers

**Compensation Package**:

- Total compensation 80-100k+
- These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.
