**Management**
- Direct sales representatives in establishing customers, increasing sales, overall customer satisfaction and new leads to achieve sales objectives
- Assign accounts and sales initiatives to direct reports and set both short and long-term sales goals, as well as develop required actions to achieve goals
- Maintain relationships with key accounts that sales representatives oversee and assist sales team in growing business with key accounts and prospects
- High degree of using and teaching Oldcastle’s CRM tool
- Perform quarterly business reviews (sales execution plans) and sales ride alongs with all direct reports

**Sales**
- Prospect hardscape sales opportunities on a regular basis by leveraging existing relationships, reviewing industry lead sources, attending industry association and seminars
- Profile potential customers, determine their propensity for our product line, identify competitive opportunities, create and follow an account plan for each client
- May conduct information sessions (lunch ‘n learns) promoting the use of our hardscape products to potential customers
- Educate customers about our products, the performance characteristics of the product line and the value-added services that the company offers
- Collect feedback from customers and key industry contacts and share with sales team to improve sales process
- Direct and assist in the construction and maintenance of dealers displays

**Human Resources**
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, terminations and performance management of all direct reports
- Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures
- Conduct effective and timely employee evaluations through Oldcastle’s HRIS system
- Train, develop and coach direct reports; support Company succession planning through career development, cross-training, etc. activities
- Review and approve all paid time off requests and timecards for all direct reports
- Review and approve all expense reports for direct reports

**Safety**
- Ensure directs reports are incorporating safe work practices into daily working routine
- Report all safety concerns to the Health & Safety Department and Manager

**Position Knowledge**
- Basic understanding of the subcontractor and negotiated contractor (design build) sales approach
- Ability to deliver effective presentations
- Excellent relationship management /Communication skills both internally and externally
- Time Management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve

**Position Experience/Education/Abilities**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales management
- Previous sales experience (5 to 10 years preferred)
- Post secondary education in a technical or business school
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Must be able to intermittently lift-up to sixty (60) pounds without assistance
- Must be able to operate hand and power tools to construct displays
- Must be available for limited overnight travel in Canada/US
