**Position Description**:
**Post-Doctoral Research Fellow**

**Position Description**

**Employment Type**

Full-time Post-Doctoral position for 12-24 months starting January 2023 (with competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and option for extension).

**What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Work with an interdisciplinary team investigating the cellular, molecular, and physiological regulation of intestinal chylomicron and hepatic lipoprotein production in normal and insulin resistant states (obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes) using animal and cell culture model systems.
- Lead an independent research project to better understand the links between gut microbiota and intestinal neuroendocrine system to regulate dietary fat absorption and lipid/lipoprotein metabolism.
- Conduct state-of-the-art research in a highly dynamic research environment.
- Collaborate and establish networks with team members as well as both internal and external research groups.
- Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations.
- Mentor students and other team members.

**What You’ll Need**:

- A strong record of publication in high impact journals and conference presentations/abstracts.
- Experience with biochemical techniques, molecular biology methodology, and physiological examination, both in vivo in animal models and ex vivo/in vitro in cell culture models.
- Ability to perform impactful research as part of a multidisciplinary collaborative team.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to write research articles and reviews.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
