**Position Description**:
**Post-Doctoral Fellow role of miniprotein genes and long non-coding RNAs in human disease**

**In this role, you will**:

- analyze whole-genome sequencing data and/or transcriptomic data from large cohorts of families affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions;
- collaborate with scientists specializing in a variety of disciplines, including neurobiology, computational biology, biostatistics, child psychiatry, and epidemiology;
- provide assistance in mentoring junior trainees, including graduate students and summer students;
- present your research findings at conferences related to human genetics and genomics; and
- publish your findings in peer-reviewed journals.

**Required qualifications**:

- PhD in a relevant discipline, such as genetics/genomics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or computer science.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python and R.
- Ability to work independently and exhibit the initiative to explore new and innovative research directions based on recent findings in the literature.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Experience in (bio)statistics and/or machine learning.
- Experience working in a Linux-based environment.
- Experience using high-performance computing infrastructure.
