**Supervisor**: Dr. Melanie Penner

**Program**: Bloorview Research Institute

This is a 1-year, temporary full-time position with potential for renewal depending on funding and performance. Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow with interest in service delivery for autistic children and their families. This fellow will work with a Senior Scientist in the Bloorview Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) and partners in Northern Ontario on a project that will use mixed methods to describe autism diagnosis access strategies in Northern Ontario. This position requires experience in qualitative research (additional experience in quantitative research and/or mixed methods is an asset), proficient writing (for academic, government, and lay audiences), and effective presentation skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Contribute to research ethics submission and methodological approach
- Conduct data collection (e.g., organize recruitment, conduct interviews, focus groups, and/or survey data), data analysis, and KT activities
- Write, prepare, and format manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Support the training and supervision of research students
- Present your work at conferences as well as to policy makers and operational managers of autism programs
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Recent PhD in Health Policy, Implementation Science, Rehabilitation or Health Sciences, Psychology, Occupational Science, Disability Studies, or related field
- Strong academic record and previous research experience, required
- Experience with qualitative research, required
- Experience with quantitative and/or survey data analysis and REDCap is an asset
- Advanced word processing skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Endnotes), technical competencies, and ability to learn new software as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing workload
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience with knowledge mobilization, preferred
- Experience working with families is an asset
- Commitment to and support of the organizational mission and vision of the hospital and the ARC lab
