**Resident Engagement Coordinator**
**Waterford Grand Retirement Residence** at Barrhaven Town Centre embodies an innovation in senior living by offering a continuum-of-care lifestyle. One that allows our residents to age-in-place—knowing that they will not need to move should their care needs change. We offer 215 retirement-style suites. Some for independent residents who are self-sufficient and require mínimal daily assistance; some additional, tailored, enhanced care (such as bathing, dressing, and grooming); and, for residents living with cognitive impairment, our memory care program is considered world-class.

- **Job Summary**_
We are looking to hire a dynamic and creative full-time **Resident Engagement Coordinator **to join out management team. This individual will be primarily responsible to see to it that all Resident Programs are implemented according to our policies, procedures, and Standards of Excellence.
- **What We Expect from You: Duties & Responsibilities**_
- Plan, develop, and implement exciting Resident Programs to meet the individual needs and interests of our residents
- Recruit, hire, train, and mange (e.g., budget and staffing) one or more full-time Associates
- Manage a volunteer program—including the recruitment, training, and supervising of volunteers
- Ensure that resident welcome practices and engagement protocols are in place
- Organize outside field trips and events—including one-to-one programming for residents who are unable to participate in a group setting
- Negotiate and manage community contracts in matters such as staffing, contract labour, vendors, and entertainment
- Participate in our Annual Resident Satisfaction Survey initiatives, and address any resident complaints and grievances
- Take part in the review of individual residents’ service plans, and regularly document their progress
- Engage in discharge planning, in conjunction with other members of the management team
- Make certain that all the daily, weekly, and monthly calendar of events’ requirements are met
- Guarantee that all marketing, promotion, and communication materials are of a professional quality
- Coordinate the transportation of residents to-and-from events outside the community, which may include driving a community motor vehicle.
- **What You Bring to Us: Education & Experience**_
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Recreation, Health Education, or related field
- Two or more years’ adult programming experience, preferred
- Evidence of expertise in a functional professional discipline
- Capable of demonstrating a thorough understanding of the organization/work environment
- Basic typing skills and computer literacy are essential, preferably familiar with Microsoft Windows software.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
