Commercial Sales Manager

**Mercedes-Benz Boundary** is currently looking to fill the position of a **Commercial Sales Manager.**
The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in planning, organizing, controlling, and driving the results from the employees and activities of our Commercial Vehicles Sales Department. He/she will be directly responsible for the development of business, acquisition of fleet and corporate accounts, coordination of sales activities/events, and overseeing the direct sales of new and used commercial vehicles by the sales team. This person will also provide the necessary training, measurement, controlling, planning and execution to drive monthly, quarterly, and annual results to meet objectives, budgets, and targets successfully and consistently. He/she will also be responsible for all administrative details of the Commercial Vehicles Sales Department and any others as assigned by the General Manager.
**Essential Duties**:
- Establish and manage long
- and short-range goals as directed by the General Manager for the salespeople assigned as his/her responsibility.
- Create a high-energy culture of teamwork and keep motivations high to achieve results
- Guide the salespeople in setting their objectives on a long and short-range basis and being accountable to their results.
- Recommend to the General Manager the new vehicle inventory to be carried by color, model, and equipment based on sales rate and current inventory.
- Set the volume and gross objectives for assigned salespeople.
- Achieve the monthly and quarterly manufacturer targets consistently.
- Assist the General Manager in forecasting and managing controllable expense elements for the Commercial Vehicle Sales department.
- Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
- Track sales traffic/activities weekly and monthly using the company’s CRM system.
- Track sales pace against objectives weekly and action activities with individuals or the entire team as required to achieve targets.
- Communicate with assigned sales team to ensure that the dealership’s planned activities, policies and procedures are understood.
- Follow up for enforcement of all policy and procedure requirements.
- Evaluate monthly the gross and volume performance of each sales person, identify reasons for any shortfalls and regularly develop an action plan to achieve individual objectives.
- Meet every customer possible to help create an open and friendly experience for their visit and establish rapport that helps build a relationship and drives the sale.
- Perform daily 1-on-1’s with salespeople to track activities, provide guidance/support to drive the sale.
- Recruit, hire, and develop a robust Sales team capable of delivering the department’s volume and profit objectives.
- Ensure that customer satisfaction measured by manufacturer CSI is above the Zone average for all sales team members.
- Review salespeople’s performance monthly and annually.
- Carry out disciplinary actions as required and recommend for dismissal any salesperson failing to meet company standards, policies, or objectives.
- Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings as directed by the General Manager.
- Ensure completion of all required manufacturer training and certifications for your role.
- Ensure every member of the Sales team completes all required manufacturer training and certifications.
- Collaborate with the Sales team, finance office, and General Manager on programs that will increase the new/used vehicle and finance office gross profit.
- Ensure maintenance and extended warranty contract percentages exceed the minimum requirement by manufacturer.
- Coordinate the function of salespeople with the Service Department, Parts Department, and Business Office.
**Other Duties**:
- Coordinate the efforts of salespeople to enhance the image of the dealership.
- Coordinate with other Sales Managers in programs that will enhance his/her own personal and professional development.
- Support passenger car sales department as needed.
- Support General Manager as directed with additional tasks that drive the success of the business.
