As part of our succession planning, we require a Sales Manager at Price Steel Ltd. Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager will comprise several tasks and processes aiming at developing and implementing growth opportunities within and between organizations.

We are looking for someone who uses their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish set goals and lead and direct the work of other sales team members. If you are a collaborator with prior Sales Management experience and ready to take your career to the next level, then look no further

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
- Identifies potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, coordinating contract requirements, assessing risk.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
- Work with all departments to meet customer needs.
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior management, and executives on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Forecast sales targets and evaluate progress monthly.
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
- Work with the sales team to ensure that all requisitions are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Lead by example by demonstrating the importance of fostering a safety culture.

- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills
- Strong and well-developed social communication skills (assertive) with the ability to communicate with skills including telephone aptitude, ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and other sales professionals
- Great diligence and strong analytical skills
- Proven business judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills
- Confident, resourceful, and initiative taking, can work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to embrace change, continually improve processes and maintain confidentiality
- Professional attitude with exceptional organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, time management, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Possess 5+ years of sales management experience preferably in a similar industry (Steel Service Centre, Metal Fabrication or Steel Mill), other relevant experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of Alberta Human Rights, Employment Standards, PIPA, WCB legislation and any other relevant legislation
