Since its founding in 2000, CanadaHelps has helped over 3 million Canadians donate over $2.2 billion to Canadian charities. Since 2013, it has gone through a period of rapid, double-digit growth, enabling it to process approximately one third of all online giving in Canada (~$450M annually). CanadaHelps is the Canadian leader in online giving and continues to internally develop and promote innovative giving solutions for Canadian charities and donors. It has a nimble and entrepreneurial culture with passionate and engaged staff. It employs a hybrid office model. The head office is located in downtown Toronto, with a second office in Vancouver.
**The Opportunity**:
As VP People and Culture, you will oversee all aspects of the company's core HR function, People Experience, and People Operations.
As a member of the executive leadership team, you will have the partnership and autonomy to create and build a lasting People & Culture legacy at a dynamic organization. This role will continue to set the bar for a healthy culture; one that leans into innovation and that is aligned with our commitment to being a charitable, social-good focused company that is world-class at what we do.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Be a strategic and influential member of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure partnership, buy-in and alignment on People Strategy and initiatives;
- Serve as a leader of culture and engagement across the company showcasing strong communication and change management ability;
- Support the creation and expansion of our people programs, including but not limited to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, learning and development, and compensation and benefits;
- Own People team success metrics such as:
- Provide strategy and oversight while guiding the People Team to partner with our leaders on areas such as:
- Leverage People Analytics to present insightful reports to the board;
- Collaborate with the leadership team for strategic growth planning, including forecasting, resource planning, skills gap analysis, and organizational structure planning;
- Act as a member of the organization's Senior Leadership Team, and contribute to strategic and business planning processes for the organization as a whole;
- Use strong project management skills to deliver timely execution of People and Culture action plans aligned with the strategic business plan;
- Coach managers and teams on embedding cultural values and key philosophies into their day-to-day management practices.

You have experience with and passion for:
- Building teams and developing people (early stage and later stage);
- Experience designing, growing and sustaining an organization of high-performing people who execute with velocity + quality to achieve business objectives;
- Ability to identify exceptional talent for key roles around the company;
- Experience establishing scalable programs and practices that facilitate growth.
**Qualifications**
- 10+ years of experience in People/Human Resources focused roles, with at least 5 years at the leadership level;
- Is known as a trusted leader and advisor who possesses strong business acumen with a track record of strategic planning to support People teams and company-wide goals;
