**Votre mandat en quelques mots**:
La personne titulaire du poste sera appelée à participer à un projet en découverte de médicaments qui s’effectuera en majeure partie à l’IRIC. Les activités de recherche biologique seront effectuées dans le groupe de recherche en signalisation intracellulaire du Prof. Marc Therrien en collaboration étroite avec des chimistes médicinaux de l’Unité de découverte du médicament dirigée par Prof. Anne Marinier. Le programme vise l’identification de molécules possédant un profil biologique et des propriétés pharmacologiques et toxicologiques justifiant leur développement clinique ultérieur.

L’équipe de Prof. Therrien sera chargée du profilage des nouvelles substances synthétisées dans le cadre du projet dans des essais biologiques et biochimiques. La personne recrutée sera appelée à participer activement à toutes les étapes de ce profilage. Celle-ci devra préparer les substances chimiques qui lui sont soumises à des concentrations appropriées et tester leur activité dans des essais biochimiques ou des essais cellulaires appropriés. Les lectures d’essais seront la plupart du temps basées sur des méthodes homogènes (TR-FRET, AlphaLISA, etc.) et seront effectuées sur des lecteurs de plaques. Des méthodes plus classiques (e.g. immunobuvardage) seront également utilisées. L’analyse et l’entrée des données s’effectuera à l’aide d’outils informatiques standards (excel, graphpad) et d’autres plus spécialisés (ActivityBase, banque de données spécifique au projet).

**Vos défis au quotidien**:

- Discuter avec les membres du laboratoire des projets de recherche qu’ils veulent entreprendre afin de comprendre leurs priorités et orientations. Participer à la conception et planification de nouveaux projets et déterminer les techniques et protocoles à suivre;
- Déterminer, planifier et effectuer des expériences en sciences de la santé, de la nature et de la vie. Analyser et interpréter les résultats en regard de la littérature. Proposer des suites aux projets sous sa responsabilité;
- Générer les graphiques et les rapports résumant ses résultats expérimentaux et faire la diffusion aux membres du groupe;
- Agit à titre de personne ressource auprès des membres du laboratoire (méthodes, techniques, procédures, validation de certains résultats, planification des ressources du laboratoire);
- Adapter et modifier des techniques pour obtenir de nouveaux types de résultats expérimentaux;
- Effectuer le suivi des dépenses, la prévision des coûts et l’achat de matériel informatique;
- Participer à la rédaction d’articles scientifiques en rédigeant des sections telles que description du projet, revue de littérature, cadre théorique, discussion et interprétation des résultats. Participer à la rédaction de demande de subvention;
- Assister aux rencontres du groupe de recherche et au besoin à des téléconférence ou vidéo-conférences hebdomadaires;
- Présenter et synthétiser les travaux du laboratoire dans des rencontres, conférences et autres forums de communication. Rédiger des documents synthèse et de vulgarisation en tenant compte de multiples sources d’information. Participer à la préparation de présentations pour les rencontres du groupe de recherche avec un partenaire industriel;
- Participer à la rédaction de rapports détaillés pour diffusion auprès du partenaire industriel;
- Effectuer les entrées de plans et résultats expérimentaux dans un support approprié (cahier de laboratoire électronique);
- Participer à la rédaction de protocoles expérimentaux détaillés pour le projet;
- Effectuer diverses tâches administratives telles que planification budgétaire, gestion et organisation du laboratoire et achat de matériel spécifique. Gérer les stocks de produits requis pour son travail (lignées cellulaires, produits chimiques, anticorps, etc.);
- Peut être appelé à effectuer des tâches et responsabilités connexes et/ou inférieures.

**Ce qu’il vous faut pour réussir dans ce rôle**:

- Diplôme universitaire de maîtrise dans un champ de spécialisation approprié ou un diplôme universitaire terminal de premier (1er) cycle dans un champ de spécialisation approprié et deux (2) années d’expérience pertinente au projet de recherche;
- Connaissance préalable des principes de la signalisation intracellulaire et des méthodes utilisées pour l’étudier;
- Connaissance préalable des méthodes de base pour l’évaluation in vitro de molécules chimiques (génération de courbes dose-réponse dans des essais cellulaires et biochimiques);
