The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
The training and learning solutions advisor will oversee day-to-day operations, planning, developing, implementation, and evaluation of training at the Research Institute. In addition, the advisor will act as a facilitator to lead a group of training champions at the RI-MUHC. This includes managing the Learning Management System (LMS), maintaining and updating the existing courses on LMS, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create new courses, communicating and developing strategies as well as leading an organization-wide discussion for training.

General Duties
- Develop and publish high-quality e-learning training content to optimize learning for a variety of audiences,
- Support the continuous improvement of existing training resources,
- Create interactive instructional material: courses, curriculum, user guides and/or training manuals. Manage multiple initiatives and deadlines working with multiple stakeholders. Foster cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders to support training programs. Create, manage & update online course content and assets on Learning Management System,
- Lead training-related discussions, facilitate knowledge sharing within a training community, and create and deliver ‘Train the Trainer’ courses,
- Produce reports to stakeholders and directors.

Education / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience,
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of related experience, experience in a higher education or research environment preferred,
- Experience in instructional design using isEazy, Articulate 360, or similar e-learning software experience with LMS technology platforms, adult-learning principles or instructional design,
- Experience with technology platforms, including Zoom and various third-party event software programs (including LMS), and Microsoft programs,
- Experience in creating systems training using software simulation/screen recording/video-editing software ability to take initiative, show resourcefulness, and be attuned to the needs of various groups/individuals,
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in practice,
- Well-developed verbal, and written communication skills and interpersonal skills,
- Disciplined approach to planning and project execution with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail,
- Proven problem-solving ability in managing concurrent projects under tight deadlines. Experience with/interest in tools that facilitate reflection and learning within group settings, large and small, is an asset,
- Bilingualism (English/French).

Additional information

**Status**: Temporary, Full-time (maternity leave replacement) with the possibility of renewal.

**Pay Scale**: $46,173.40 - $85,740.20 / Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

**Work Shift**: Monday to Friday, 35 hrs/week.

**Work Site**: Hybrid
