Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, Calgary or Toronto. The Project Manager will be responsible for effectively managing schedule, cost and overall implementation of projects initiated within People Corporation and its subsidiaries. This is a critical role in the organization requiring a combination of project management, technical and interpersonal skills to be successful.
**The Project Manager will**:
- Plan and implement projects - managing all aspects of project delivery including:
- Project charter, project plan, governance reporting & stakeholder management
- Manage scope, risk, cost, quality and communication
- Define, schedule and estimate project timelines
- Fiscal management; cost estimates, budgets and resources
- Resource identification - assigning individual project related responsibilities and tasks
- Effective management, monitoring and communication of project deliverables, milestones and risks
- Support project resources and individual business units as they complete key inputs/deliverables to the project (i.e. business cases, benefits estimates, etc.), ensuring that quality/consistency is maintained
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately distributed for review approval and are stored appropriately
- Protect defined project scope and engage Project Change Request (CR) process as required
- Track metrics to establish project benefits realization and assist in project closure
- Determine staffing needs for projects and work with the Technology & Business Leadership Teams to coordinate the assignment of staff to projects
- Maintain project financial costs and budgets
- Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity through all phases of the project management lifecycle
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risk through entire solution life cycle
- Schedule, Conduct and minute Project meetings
- Communicate project status to all stakeholders on a regular basis throughout the lifecycle of the project
**T**o be successful **as a** **Project Manager** with People Corporation, you will need**:
- Experience in the Insurance, Group Benefits, Group Retirement or Financial Services Industry
- Experience working with multiple vendors and internal \ external stakeholders
- Excellent client service experience & client stakeholder management
- Working knowledge of integration and security practices related to PII and PHI data interactions
- Possess a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
- Proficient understanding of enhanced client experience
- Superior skills using all Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, and Project Management Reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously
- Fluency in French is considered an asset
**- PMP designation, Prince2, ASM (Certification in one or more)
- Diploma or degree in computer sciences
- 5-10 years of project management experience working in a complex, fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
