The Contract Terminal Operator - Kingston is part of a team of 3 operations personnel located at the Kingston Terminal site with the critical objective of delivering safe and reliable operations to serve an array of fuel customers in the local market. The role is crucial in maintaining day-to-day operations and a key interface with Carriers, overseeing product handling, and gate-to-gate efficiency.

This role is well suited for individuals who are highly ambitious, safety-conscious, and thrive in complex and uncertain situations. It will help you grow and develop in a business that encourages development and you’ll be part of a dynamic and diverse team; the contract operator role is right at the front line of the company’s activities.

Operations jobs are essential to the ongoing successes of the company. The roles are part of a team that is tasked with the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of our assets.

The Kingston Terminal receives refined products (gasoline, distillate and biofuels) via pipeline and truck, and then further distributes these products via its truck loading rack.

The terminal is open 24/7, and staffed Monday to Friday during business hours. The terminal is contracted to receive pipeline 24/7, and as such requires an individual to be onsite to receive the pipeline when the receipt falls outside of the terminals normally staffed hours.

**What is the Role?**

Terminal Operators are responsible for all operational duties related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of its products. The Contract Terminal Operator will primarily work nights and weekends, and does not have a set schedule as the individual will be required to float with the Pipeline schedule. Estimated 20-30 hours of work per week, with this increasing while covering vacation of the other terminal operators.

Accountable for compliance with company and regulatory procedures in the execution of the job such as:

- Maintaining compliance with company procedures and government regulations related to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental)
- Handling, receiving, transferring, shipping, and storing petroleum products via pipeline and truck
- Daily reconciliation of product inventories including transaction and documentation of product movements and analysis of loss/gain variances
- Perform daily inspections and execute routine maintenance and housekeeping as per global and local Terminal Operating standards in order to ensure a safe, secure, and environmentally sound operation
- Ability to troubleshoot loading rack and other terminal system malfunctions
- Conducting quality assurance sampling and testing of products

Occasional overtime is required.

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
