Dock Master

Freedom Boat Club is the nation's oldest and largest private member boat club and we are currently looking to add a highly customer-focused person to our dock staff. The position will require some weekend and holiday hours.

Join Freedom Boat Club as a Dock Master and enjoy working around boats and boaters We are looking for a dynamic individual to handle boat reservations, assist club members on and off the boats, and clean and prepare boats for the next member as they return from a day on the water.

Dock Master Duties:

- Ensure all best practices are followed to provide consistent service is provided as detailed in our Dock Manual
- Provide the “Red carpet" Treatment our members deserve. Establishing specific member meet and greet procedures in addition to boarding and disembarking procedures
- Develop a weekly schedule to ensure all boats are receiving a routine weekly cleaning as detailed in the Manual.
- Correspond with members on all dock related issues including but not limited to complaints, fuel disputes, vessel damages and miscellaneous dock charges
- Ensure adequate supply levels are being maintained. Oversee and track fuel logs and vessel fueling
- Become familiar with local waterways and popular boating destinations surrounding the Club
- Ensure that all dock staff are following proper protocol in regard to prospective members
- Keep the boats clean and the members happy
- Greet members in a friendly, upbeat, courteous and professional manner
- Assist members in boarding / un-boarding boats with emphasis on safety
- Check-out members using a handheld computer tablet
- Perform check of equipment on board (Life vests, Anchor, Dock Lines, etc)
- Check-in members returning with boats and swipe credit card for fuel payment
- Fuel boats at marina fuel dock
- Deep clean boats as needed
- Basic boat maintenance and problem troubleshooting
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: $20.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- boating: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) (required)
