**Scope of Position**

Under the guidance of the Manager of Sales Reporting, the Sales Reporting Analyst is responsible for the completion of sales performance reporting to business unit leaders as well as senior management: By preparing reporting that supports sales and growth reporting and analysis, specialized programs and initiatives, analytics and forecasting, business unit support and general administration support. This position has cross-functional reporting responsibilities that enable retail and commercial business units to meet sales and service objectives of the organization.

The position works as part of the Sales reporting team that has a larger goal of providing support for the reporting and analytical requests of other departments such as treasury, product, finance, marketing as well as the retail and commercial areas.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Manage capacity and workload of sales reporting team against competing priorities and deadlines
- Ensure that business units and management reporting requirements are being met to a high level of satisfaction
- Work with cross-functional teams to achieve company and business unit initiatives
- Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and drive best practices throughout the departments and organization
- Analyze and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data with a view to enhance sales results, develop opportunities, assisting with forecasting models and provide key performance indicator results
- Update dashboards, spreadsheet reports and written reports to present findings in clear, concise summaries; Highlighting performance measure such as monthly, quarterly, yearly, versus plan and year over year
- Meet with internal clients to plan reporting projects and set deadlines
- Keep management well informed of activities and significant issues problems
- Assist with projects research as necessary: this includes coordinating activities with colleagues, management etc.,
- Provides operational support to other areas, as required.

**Expectations / Outcomes**
- Optimal management of complete, accurate, and timely sales performance reporting for the key metrics identified. Traditionally including, but not limited to Funds Under Management activity, Membership/Client activity, Sales, Runoff, Product activity and others that may be requested
- Monitoring and decision-making support tools (sales activity reports, growth reports, etc.) available to managers on a timely basis within the agreed upon Service delivery timelines
- Enhanced reporting to business unit leaders, Executive Leadership Management, and Board of Directors

**Qualifications**

**_ Educations / Certifications / Experience_**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics - or equivalent work experience
- 1 year of experience in data analysis, preferably in a financial institution environment
- Retail / commercial banking experience considered an asset

**_ Knowledge / Skills_**
- Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to develop processes and methodologies
- Understanding of standard banking operations, including familiarity with banking systems, and financial products & services technologies
- Knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence and Microsoft Power BI a significant asset
- Understanding of market research and analysis techniques
- Strong math skills and knowledge of statistics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
