**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting to the director, marketing and student recruitment, the manager, student recruitment, is responsible for managing the college’s domestic student recruitment strategy, including developing and implementing a competitive domestic student recruitment plan to promote Durham College to prospective students as a leader in teaching in learning excellence.

Working within the Communications and Marketing team, the manager, student recruitment, manages, develops and oversees the implementation of comprehensive recruitment strategies that involve effective lead generation, prospective student communication, and digital and content marketing strategies.

The manager consistently tracks and reports recruitment information, and monitors lead generation and enrolment progress. Researches and utilizes data and recruitment tools to target prospective populations with strategic marketing and recruitment efforts. Collaborates with faculty, deans and stakeholders to help shape the future of Durham College by identifying and engaging prospective students, building relationships with key partners, and promoting the benefits of our institution. Serves as the enrolment liaison between high schools and the college and attends and represents the college as needed at recruitment events throughout the region and province.

Providing leadership to the recruitment team, the incumbent supervises assigned employees, including hiring, delegating, performance management, evaluations and mentoring, to achieve annual recruitment goals and objectives.

The incumbent will have the responsibility to:

- Assess market share gains and losses to develop and refine strategies for maximum impact within and outside of the Durham Region.
- Assess enrolment and market share data and system and institutional survey results to inform decision-making and approach in reaching goals.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the lead generation and nurture strategy to grow an expanded qualified applicant pool.
- Contribute to budget planning and recommended resource allocation.
- Continuously conduct and evaluate recruitment tactics and strategies to ensure the institution is leading the way in its approach to student recruitment.
- Collaborate with secondary school partners and community stakeholders to identify opportunities and recommend strategies to successfully increase applicants to programs.
- Establish and maintain performance measurement tools to track and demonstrate success.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a 3-year diploma/degree in marketing, business, advertising, communications or related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years’ related experience with knowledge of trends in student recruitment, sales and marketing is required.
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial and coaching skills and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Understanding of Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) and best practices in student recruitment.
- Working knowledge of managing budgets.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools for sales and marketing (Salesforce is preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Proven ability to develop, plan and implement strategies and report on success tied to data.
- Able to work occasional weekends and evenings.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel.
