**Position Summary**:
The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in soliciting, developing, maintaining, and negotiating business from both new and existing accounts, with a primary focus on achieving defined goals and targets.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Proactively solicit and qualify existing and new business to meet personal and hotel revenue goals.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports and action plans, actively participating in regular sales meetings.
- Exhibit self-motivation, decisiveness, responsibility, and a driven mindset to attain set goals.
- Promptly handle proposals, contracts, and other sales-related correspondence.
- Confirm all bookings, and negotiate rates, adhering strictly to the hotel's rate structure, credit policies, and overall procedures.
- Maintain an up-to-date, accurate client file, along with a accurately organized database and tracking system.
- Demonstrate flexibility for work-related travel, including potential overnight stays for trade shows and events.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

**Education/Experience/Strengths**
- Possess a diploma or degree in Business or Sales & Marketing (preferred).
- Hold a valid driver's license for travel requirements.
- Showcase strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and experience with OPERA and Delphi.
- Flexibility with hours, as situations may arise that require extra hours to accomplish a specific task.
- Responsible for the planning and implementing of catering promotions and other designated sales activities (i.e. sales blitz).
- Responsible for understanding the priorities and sensitivities of market needs.
- Must be knowledgeable about other catering facilities in the area.
- Other duties as assigned.

- As a salaried employee, you may encounter situations that require you to put in extra hours to accomplish specific tasks; Royal Equator Inc will not compensate for these hours.
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Follow all company policies and procedures with regards to Health & Safety.
- Must have flexible working hours.
- Must be detailed oriented and very organized with excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, team player
- Must have a valid drivers’ licence and own transportation

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

The Catering Sales Manager must have very strong communication skills. They must have a strong command of the English language both verbal and written. It is also required that they have an excellent telephone manner.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

The Catering Sales Manager must be able to handle high stress situations that may involve a lot of activity. Majority of the time is spent in an office environment with the addition of meeting rooms and other departments within the hotel depending on activity.
