**Position: PILOT PROJECT COORDINATOR**

The First Nations Health Consortium in Alberta is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the role of Pilot Project Coordinator. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension based on project success and funding availability.

As the Pilot Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a sports and recreation pilot project aimed at promoting youth sports and school programs within First Nations communities across Alberta. You will work closely multiple partners to ensure the successful delivery of youth sports and school programs while promoting health and wellness among the participants.

**Qualifications**:

- Operate and manage the pilot project in adherence to the consortium's guidelines and objectives.
- Coordinate and assist with basic coaching and league organization for youth sports activities.
- Liaise and collaborate with various partners to ensure effective program delivery and community engagement.
- Travel extensively throughout the province to facilitate program implementation and establish strong working relationships with First Nations communities.
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in unsupervised situations and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Uphold and respect First Nations culture and traditions in all project activities

**Responsibilities**:

- A clean driver’s abstract and a valid driver's license
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage the pilot project and collaborate with diverse partners
- A strong background in sports and recreation, with 2-4 years of experience in the industry
- A graduate of a recognized sports management program is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently in unsupervised settings
- Extensive knowledge of First Nations culture and a commitment to promoting cultural sensitivity
- Ability to assist with basic coaching and league organization for various sports activities
