**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Future Edge and under the general supervision of the Operations Administrator, the incumbent serves as the Future EDge initial focal point for delivery of programs both on and off site, including registration, scheduling, and coordination. The incumbent performs a logístical support function for the programs offered to individuals within the community. In addition, the incumbent provides administrative support in the main office including support for the Operations Administrator, the operation of office equipment, and the handling of course materials.

A critical part of Future EDge’s mandate is to bring together resources from all disciplines at Carleton to provide opportunities for participants to upskill, reskill, and be ready for the future of work.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Able to provide both proactive and reactive responses to operational activities and situations.
- Determines priorities and actions based on previous experience, understanding the nature of the work, and through reliance on policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identifies issues, consults, collaborates, and follows policies, procedures, and processes.
- Knowledge of finance, budget, and administration policies, procedures, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational and administrative skills, event and project coordination.
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices.
- Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context.
- Excellent communicator (written, verbal).
- Attention to detail required.

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Minimum two-year degree/diploma program in business administration, education, or related discipline from a post secondary educational institution and/or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in professional and executive education would be an asset. Equivalencies may be considered.
