Applications are invited for the position of Peer Wellness Program Coordinator in Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services, located at both the Daniel J. Patterson Campus and Welland Campuses. This position is temporary and is for 24 hours per week until April 28, 2023. The starting hourly rate is $37.88/hr.

***Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Developing and supervising a peer support and active listening program, including curriculum development and training, and coordinating students involved in program delivery.
- Supervising student employees’ interactions with other students (e.g., observation, reviewing meeting summaries, giving regular and ongoing formative feedback, group supervision).
- Providing appropriate support and referrals to students identified as requiring additional support through the peer program.
- Providing crisis response, assessment, intervention, and support to students and student employees, as required.
- Conducting program evaluations.
- Collaborating with partners across campus for development of programs and initiatives.
- Developing educational resources and program materials to be used as part of peer wellness programs.
- Writing funding proposals for ongoing program development.
- Marketing of the Wellness Peers, which may include on-campus and on social media

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline (Psychology, Health Studies) with 2-4 years of clinical counselling experience, preferably in a post-secondary education setting.
- Familiarity with mental health and mental illness, particularly as it relates to university and college students
- Training and experience in student service provision, student employee or volunteer management, preferably in a post-secondary setting
- Experience and expertise in health and wellness education or outreach.
- Experience in designing and delivering educational training programs.
- Previous involvement in a university health and wellness program would be an asset. Experience supervising volunteers.
- Skills in oral and written communication, including initiating contacts, interacting with students, faculty and staff. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
