**Data Quality Analyst**
**Full Time Permanent**

**Hybrid role**
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all data received by the MCC for the National Registry of Physicians (NRP) and be the lead for managing the integration of this data into MCC systems. You will be working closely with all NRP users and act as the primary point of contact for all data-related and system inquiries related to the NRP. You will also be coordinating the resolution of technical matters between NRP Users and MCC Business Technology (BT).
**What you’ll do**
- Analyze incoming data to identify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with data owners and interested parties to understand data requirements and expectations.
- Define and establish data quality standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy across all data sources.
- Implement data validation rules, checks and procedures to maintain high data quality standards.
- Execute data quality assurance processes, including data cleansing, enrichment, and validation.
- Monitor and track data quality issues, documenting, and reporting findings to relevant interested parties.
- Work closely with MCC BT department, NRP data owners, and other interested parties to address data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide support and training to NRP agents on best practices for maintaining data quality.
- Maintain and manage user access and roles within the MCC account service.
- Communicate and collaborate with NRP users to ensure efficiency of processes, adherence to agreed-upon service levels and escalate issues as appropriate
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures.
- Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure compliance with data quality standards.
**What you need to succeed**
**Experience**:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Data Quality Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data quality principles, data profiling, and data cleansing techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex data quality concepts to both technical and non-technical interested parties.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
**Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in using data quality tools and technologies.
- Capacity to understand business logic and process workflows to develop accurate quality assurance processes.
- General understanding of MCC’s underlying technological environment an asset
- Knowledge of the health care industry an asset
**Competencies**:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with users
- Ability to multi-task when working with various external Users and MCC departments
**Education**:
- College diploma in information technology, data science, or a related field
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, data science, or a related field would be considered an asset
**Language**:
- Fluent bilingualism; excellent oral and written skills in both English and French
