Transportation Services is seeking a Project Lead in the
**Corporate Compliance Unit** - Reporting to the Manager or a Senior Project Manager. The Project Lead will lead and support the Unit's efforts in the following business functions:

- Digital Records Management - such as the divisional intranet and internet web presence and the management of technical documents in a forthcoming document management system;
- Business Process Mapping and Technical Training needs using Lean Six Sigma and PMBOK methods;
- Compliance reviews of the division's operations using internal audit best practices and IIA standards
- Support the divisional response to Auditor General's Office, Internal Audit Division, and other Accountability Officer enquiries as well as Freedom of Information Requests
- When requested, coordinates divisional reporting on various initiatives by working with internal divisional sections/units and other city divisions.

Transportation Services is seeking a Project Lead in the
**IT Strategic & Emergency Planning**
**Unit** - Reporting to the Senior Project Manager. The Project Lead will lead and support the Unit's efforts in the following business functions:

- Update and maintain the Toronto Transportation Emergency Plan including contacts, processes, and policies;
- Lead the Divisional business continuity plans;
- Development of Divisional emergency training and lead mock exercises;
- Support the development and implementation of the I&T Strategic Plan and upcoming emergency planning initiatives; and
- When required, support divisional emergency responses after hours and during weekends.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Develops and maintains a good knowledge of divisional operations and policy to assist in identifying and addressing potential risk areas.
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.
- Develop work plans including objectives, scope and methodology and complete the field work in accordance to the project plan
- Monitors projects to ensure completion in accordance with approved plans and agreements of undertaking.
- Manages assigned projects, ensuring effective teamwork, communication and high standards of work quality to advance the Division's initiatives in a complex municipal environment.
- Conducts project-specific and on-going technical research into assigned areas ensuring that such research takes into account developments within the field, City policies and practices, applicable legislation and initiatives by other levels of government.
- Develop practical recommendations that will help improve the divisional services and operations, and prepares reports and status updates for the Manager and other senior staff.
- Negotiates and coordinates with both internal and external stakeholders on and outside of project technical advisory committees.
- Researches, review and reports on a range of new projects and initiatives and provide feedbacks/comments.
- Fosters and maintains effective working relationships and networking with inter-divisional departments, government agencies, elected officials, and consultants though consultation, resolution of conflicts, participation in public meetings etc.
- Keeps up-to-date on relevant research and coordinates with relevant divisional staff on project-related data and analysis.
- Represents the division, as required, at meetings and at project-related community consultations.
- Leads, facilitates, or participates in internal technical working groups and stakeholder engagement including other City divisions, agencies, community and interest groups, industry members, higher educational institutions, and other levels of government to ensure appropriate involvement and feedback at all stages of projects
- Ensures compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other related provincial regulations, and corporate/divisional safety standards and procedures.
- Conducts technical problem investigations, performs site visits and inspections, participates in conducting studies and commenting on technical reports (including drawings and specifications), and provides detailed recommendations and advice that is in alignment with peer city best practices, industry guidelines, and applicable regulations.
